sometimes I like to sing...

Yeah, so ever since my church got our new music minister, and praise team, it's been different. mostly good different though. It's kinda hard, just like any change. There are songs that we have been singing since before I can remember that now get the opportunity to be sung a whole new way. Somethimes it's frustrating, but I suppose that flexibility is one of God's unspoken gifts, bestowed upon a special sort of personage. But having a new music man has taught me many, many things. Examples are as follows: always go to the bathroom before pre-service rehearsal. If you don't, there is a better than not chance that you will not have time to go before church. because, when you run to the bathroom after you think you're finished singing, you'll feel awful to walk back into the sanctuary and hear the first chorus of When I think about the Lord being sung...Without you. Also, never underestimate the power of vowel sounds. If you find yourself on the platform, and you hear chords to a song that you don't know, and didn't practice, sing every word you can hear your fellow Praise Team--ers are singing, and with the words you can't understand, just sing a vowel sound that seems to match theirs...at least you won't be standing there mute, and the sound will be more rounded out all around.

Bible Quizzing

Currently, I have learned 76 verses of out the 520 for this year's study. This is right on my team schedule. Unfortunately, it's 20 verses behind my personal schedule...bummer. But as I delve into the great parables and teachings in Luke, I learn so much more. It's good to share your stuff with people. This woman in chapter 7 anointed Jesus' feet out of love, and ended up getting her sins forgiven...maybe I shouldn't be so hesitant to share lotion with people. I wonder which farmer Jesus had in mind in chapter 8, the parable of the sower. That man probably had no idea that his diligent work was seen by the Master and used to soften the hearts of those that listened. It just goes to show what God can do with your life...even though you don't realize anyone's looking.

Verse of the Post:
Luke 7:47
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
