sometimes I like to sing...
Yeah, so ever since my church got our new music minister, and praise team, it's been different. mostly good different though. It's kinda hard, just like any change. There are songs that we have been singing since before I can remember that now get the opportunity to be sung a whole new way. Somethimes it's frustrating, but I suppose that flexibility is one of God's unspoken gifts, bestowed upon a special sort of personage. But having a new music man has taught me many, many things. Examples are as follows: always go to the bathroom before pre-service rehearsal. If you don't, there is a better than not chance that you will not have time to go before church. because, when you run to the bathroom after you think you're finished singing, you'll feel awful to walk back into the sanctuary and hear the first chorus of When I think about the Lord being sung...Without you. Also, never underestimate the power of vowel sounds. If you find yourself on the platform, and you hear chords to a song that you don't know, and didn't practice, sing every word you can hear your fellow Praise Team--ers are singing, and with the words you can't understand, just sing a vowel sound that seems to match theirs...at least you won't be standing there mute, and the sound will be more rounded out all around.

Bible Quizzing
Currently, I have learned 76 verses of out the 520 for this year's study. This is right on my team schedule. Unfortunately, it's 20 verses behind my personal schedule...bummer. But as I delve into the great parables and teachings in Luke, I learn so much more. It's good to share your stuff with people. This woman in chapter 7 anointed Jesus' feet out of love, and ended up getting her sins forgiven...maybe I shouldn't be so hesitant to share lotion with people. I wonder which farmer Jesus had in mind in chapter 8, the parable of the sower. That man probably had no idea that his diligent work was seen by the Master and used to soften the hearts of those that listened. It just goes to show what God can do with your life...even though you don't realize anyone's looking.
Verse of the Post:
Luke 7:47
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Birthday Presents
Today is Black Friday, and I got my birthday presents. I told my mom I could wait 2 weeks for my presents cause they would be cheaper. I got a warm, chocolate brown blanket, a cream-colored sherpa-lined hoodie, a red turtle-neck, new purple earbuds, and black leather boots. Needless to say, I'm grateful for my presents...and thankful for all of the wonderful doorbusters that all of the stores had today in order for me to get many presents. I am enjoying my time away from school, and I have spent most of it lying around, doing nothing in particular. I will say that I cleaned, de-cluttered, and rearranged the guest bedroom today, and I am extremely proud of myself. Now, I just have to write two papers, finish that book, finish that application, clean my room, and get all the decorations up...(a very sarcastic) hurrah!

Colors
If everyone matched their choice of clothing color with their mood, what would happen? Would people wear black when they're upset, and if they feel the need to look slim? Do they wear blue when they're...well, blue? What about when the entire senior class wears their green hoodies? Does green really mean serene? If a person that was in an awful mood wore yellow, would their mood change? Or would they simply wear and carry a lie the entire day until they changed into their jammies? Do people subconciously dress as what they wish to feel? Would a shy person dress in red, the supposed color of confidence? Can I understand why this entire post is written interrogatively? Should I ever do this "question thing" again? If I do, what would people think of it? After I die, will I be remembered as the girl that blogged every one of life's miniscule questions?

Ponderings and such...
Today is Saturday and I am pondering many, many things. I can't figure out why my feet always seem colder when I'm wearing socks as opposed to no socks. My mom thinks it's all in my head. NO, mom. It's my feet. Anyway, I wrote a paper today, and I find it amusing that I said wrote a paper. Technically, I think that you write words on a paper. Note to self: find out where the expression "write a paper" came from. I think I am going to try to make up on expression that everyone will be using in 5 years and know one will know where it came from...no matter how much they google it. I also think that it's entertaining that I have all these thoughts and I have somewhere to put them now. I <3 my blog!
